Okoora is building the infrastructure powering global cross-border financial operations across payments, FX, and multi-currency activity.

We work with banks, financial institutions, and global partners in regulated financial environments worldwide.

The Role

We’re looking for a high-ownership Head of Compliance & Regulatory Affairs to lead and build Okoora’s compliance and regulatory infrastructure.

This is not a traditional corporate compliance role.

We’re looking for a builder — someone who combines regulatory depth, operational execution, systems thinking, and an AI-first mindset.

You will work directly with regulators, banks, financial partners, auditors, and internal teams while helping redesign compliance operations through AI and automation.

What You’ll Do

• Lead Okoora’s compliance and regulatory operations
• Manage relationships with regulators, banks, auditors, and partners
• Oversee KYC, KYB, AML, monitoring, investigations, and reporting
• Lead audits, remediation processes, and regulatory reviews
• Build scalable compliance workflows and operational processes
• Drive AI and automation initiatives across compliance operations

What We’re Looking For

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Compliance, AML, Regulatory Affairs, or Financial Operations
• Background in fintech, payments, EMI, banking, or other regulated financial environments
• Experience working directly with regulators, banks, financial institutions, auditors, or payment providers
• Strong operational experience across KYC, KYB, AML, monitoring, investigations, and regulatory reporting
• High ownership mentality with a strong hands-on approach
• Strong systems thinking and operational judgment
• Daily practical use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar as part of professional workflows
• Experience building, improving, or working with AI-driven workflows, automation processes, or operational systems
• Ability to think in scalable operational processes, automation logic, escalation flows, and human review structures
