Head of Commercial (Training, L&D - Sales Strategy & Growth)


The Mission: Scale the Market Leader

We are an industry giant—recently listed on the stock exchange and dominating the Malaysian market. We provide high-end Tech Training and People Development solutions. We are looking for a Commercial Director to take us from "Market Leader" to "Regional Dominance."


We are looking for a "Captain of the Ship" to steer our B2B and B2G revenue engines

The Mandate:

You are not here to "hunt" only. You are here to lead.

You will architect the commercial strategy, manage a growing team, and drive retention in a high-performance environment

.


What You Will Do


  • Be the Strategist:

    A

    nalyze market trends and defining value propositions for top-tier clients

    .


  • Manage the Backbone:

    Oversee the B2B & B2G divisions which contribute 80% of group revenue

    .


  • Drive Regional Expansion:

    Lay the groundwork for expansion into Sabah,
    Sarawak,
    and eventually Indonesia,
    Philippines,
    and Vietnam.


  • Command the Room:

    Personally engage in C-level negotiations for critical accounts and strategic partnerships

    .


  • Strategic Architecture:

    Design the unified commercial strategy across Enterprise (B2B) and Government (B2G) sectors

    .


  • Team Transformation:

    Scale the team and mentor hunters, stabilizing turnover, and building a high-retention culture

    .


  • Revenue Leadership:

    Oversee the department's annual target, focusing on high-value complex deals rather than transactional sales

    .


  • Stakeholder Synergy:

    Align closely with Product, Finance, and C-Suite to ensure delivery matches market demand

    .


Requirements


Who You Are


  • The Builder:

    You have a track record of building and scaling sales teams, specifically implementing sales processes and KPIs

    .


  • The Sector Expert:

    You understand the nuances of selling "Intangible Services" (Training, HR Services, Tech Solutions)

    .


  • The Stabilizer:

    You have high emotional intelligence and can navigate team dynamics to reduce turnover and boost morale

    .


  • Experience:

    10+ years in sales with 5+ years leading teams

    .


  • Industry Fit:

    Proven success in IT, Digital Tech (Cloud/AI/Cybersecurity), or Corporate Training/L&D or HR Services.


  • Leadership Style:

    A strategic mentor, not a lone wolf.
    You know how to manage pipelines and guide hunters

    .
