About the Position:
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Head of Commercial & Communications plays a vital
role in leading the strategic development, integration and execution of NSW Rugby League’s brand, commercial, digital and media functions. The role is responsible for the commercial framework, asset strategy and performance oversight of an appointed external sales agency, hospitality sales, other sales revenues, brand, marketing and the sponsorship servicing team.

Consistent with the nature of the sporting industry, the successful candidate must be flexible and willing to work weekends, evenings and reasonable additional hours as is required to fulfil the requirements of this position. Remuneration is set in recognition of this requirement.

The New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) is the governing body for Rugby League in New South Wales and is a member of the Australian Rugby League Commission.
It was formed on 8 August, 1907 and was known as the New South Wales Rugby Football League (NSWRFL) until 1984. From 1908 to 1994, the NSWRL ran Sydney's, then New South Wales', and eventually Australia's top-level rugby league club competition.
Directly administering competitions including - The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup, Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership, Leagues Club Australia Ron Massey Cup, Sydney Shield, Jersey Flegg Cup, UNE Harold Matthews Cup, UNE SG Ball Cup, SLE Laurie Daley Cup, SLE Andrew Johns Cup, Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup and Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup - the NSWRL continues to contribute to the development of male and female Rugby League talent. The NSWRL manages the Westpac NSW Blues and the Westpac NSW Women’s State of Origin team, competing in Ampol State of Origin - one of the biggest annual events on the Australian sporting calendar.
