We’re looking for a cloud and infrastructure expert to take ownership of our Azure platform, security posture and cloud engineering capability - helping us build a secure, scalable environment that enables the business to move faster and smarter.
Reporting to our CIO, this is a newly created leadership role designed for someone who still loves being close to the tech - someone who gets excited by Azure architecture, security, automation and platform engineering - and who enjoys mentoring others and lifting technical capability across the team.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll lead the evolution of Ando’s Azure-first cloud platform and security capability, spanning strategy through to hands-on implementation.
Key areas include:
Azure platform architecture and governance
Cloud security and cyber uplift
Identity, networking and Zero Trust principles
DevOps and platform engineering
Infrastructure as Code and automation
Vendor and managed service relationships
Mentoring engineers and uplifting internal capability
Helping us progressively bring more technical capability in-house
You’ll work closely with our CIO and Technology Leadership Team to create a secure, reliable and developer-friendly platform that supports Ando’s future growth.
About you
You’re someone who can move comfortably between strategic conversations and deep technical problem solving.
You’ve likely spent years designing and supporting complex Azure environments and know what good looks like when it comes to cloud engineering, security and operational maturity.
You enjoy helping others grow, share knowledge freely and bring people along on the journey.
We’d love to hear from people with experience across most of the following:
Enterprise Azure environments and Azure Landing Zones
Infrastructure/platform engineering
Azure networking, identity and security
Microsoft Defender, Sentinel and Entra ID
Terraform and/or Bicep
CI/CD and DevOps tooling
Observability, resilience and operational excellence
Security architecture and cloud governance
