We are seeking a versatile professional to join our multi-year defence program for a maximum tenure of 6-months with potential extensions on delivering an enterprise Health Knowledge Management (HKM) System.
This capability will enable better clinical decision-making for the Australian Defence Force (ADF) providing market leading healthcare to ADF personnel and is a key capability and priority for the ADF.
Leidos Australia is seeking a Head of Clinical Governance and Digital Transformation, based in Scoresby (VIC), to lead strategic clinical governance oversight for the JP2060 Phase 4 Health Knowledge Management program. This strategic defence health transformation program will deliver a safe, integrated and sustainable enterprise digital health capability for the Australian Defence Force.
The role will ensure clinical safety, operational effectiveness and adoption readiness across garrison and deployed healthcare settings by providing clinical authority, strategic direction and governance oversight across design, delivery, implementation and sustainment.
In this role, you will:
Lead the clinical and digital transformation function for the JP2060 Phase 4 HKM program.
Provide senior clinical assurance across solution design, build, testing, migration, deployment and sustainment.
Set direction for clinical safety, risk management, workflow design, usability and operational readiness to enable safe digital health adoption.
Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary clinical SME team across program workstreams.
Influence program, technical, delivery, training, vendor and customer stakeholders to resolve complex clinical issues and align outcomes.
Represent Leidos as the senior clinical authority in customer, executive, governance and industry forums.
Translate strategic, clinical and operational requirements into practical implementation guidance and decision-ready artefacts.
We are looking for someone who brings judgement, curiosity and a collaborative approach to work that matters.
Tertiary qualification in a clinical discipline, with current or previous clinical registration.
Postgraduate qualification or equivalent senior experience in health informatics, digital health, clinical governance or a related field.
Demonstrated senior leadership experience in clinical governance, clinical safety or digital health transformation within complex healthcare, defence, government or enterprise technology environments.
Deep understanding of clinical risk management, patient safety, healthcare quality frameworks, regulatory obligations and digitally enabled models of care.
Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders, customers, clinicians, vendors and multidisciplinary delivery teams in large-scale delivery environments.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare senior briefing materials and advise stakeholders with clarity and authority.
This role does require the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold Baseline security clearance.
