Job Description

Head of Client Advisory, Asia South Wealth

The Head of Client Advisory leads Citi Wealth's Affluent (Citigold) and High Net Worth (Citigold Private Client) franchise in Singapore, covering both onshore and offshore businesses. As a member of the Asia South Wealth Leadership Team, the role is responsible for driving asset growth, advisory excellence, client engagement, and talent development across multiple client segments and markets. The role is accountable for building a high-performing advisory organization -- including Client Advisors, Market Managers, Cluster Heads, Investment Counsellors, and Insurance and Mortgage Specialists -- that delivers superior client outcomes, accelerates Net New Asset (NNA) growth, increases share of wallet, and strengthens Citi's position as a leading advisory-led wealth manager.

Key Responsibilities

Franchise Leadership

  • Lead the growth and performance of the onshore and offshore Wealth advisory franchise based in Singapore. The offshore business is also well-known as the International Personal Bank (IPB).
  • Drive NNA, Assets Under Management (AUM), revenue, and share-of-wallet growth through client acquisition, asset consolidation, and relationship deepening.
  • Lead initiatives to improve advisor productivity, client coverage effectiveness and portfolio penetration, including establishing disciplined activities management and performance governance frameworks.
  • Shape differentiated advisory models across Affluent (Citigold) and High Net Worth (Citigold Private Client). Identify emerging client needs, develop segment-specific growth strategies, service and engagement models, and market expansion priorities.

Advisory & Client Outcomes

  • Champion an advisory-led culture focused on holistic wealth management and long-term client outcomes.
  • Elevate portfolio construction, asset allocation, investment advisory and financial planning capabilities across the organization.
  • Ensure clients receive differentiated advice in-line with their wealth goals.
  • Build a consistent framework for client reviews, opportunity identification, and financial planning engagement.

Talent & Organization

  • Lead, develop, and inspire a large advisory organization across multiple markets.
  • Build a strong leadership bench and high-performing teams through succession planning and targeted talent development.
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, inclusion, and high performance.
  • Establish clear competency frameworks and career pathways for advisory professionals.

Transformation & Innovation

  • Lead the modernization of the advisory model through digitization, automation, and AI.
  • Leverage client data, analytics, digital platforms, and AI capabilities to enhance advisor productivity, deepen client engagement, and drive scalable growth.
  • Simplify processes and remove friction points that detract from client-facing activities.

Risk & Stakeholder Management

  • Maintain the highest standards of governance, conduct, and regulatory compliance.
  • Partner effectively across the various internal departments (eg, products, coverage, controls, operations, technology, finance, human resource).
  • Represent Citi with key clients, regulators, and external stakeholders (eg, asset managers).

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in wealth management, private banking, consumer banking, or advisory-led financial services.
  • Proven track record managing large-scale affluent and HNW businesses with significant revenue and AUM responsibility.
  • Demonstrated success delivering NNA growth, asset acquisition, and improvements in advisor productivity.
  • Deep understanding of investments, insurance, lending, and wealth advisory solutions.
  • Experience leading multi-market and multi-segment organizations.
  • Strong commercial, strategic, and people leadership capabilities, and exceptional executive communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience deploying digital and AI-enabled advisory capabilities is highly desirable.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
