Job Description

The Head of Business Resilience is a leadership role responsible to design, implement and manage the Business Resilience (BR) program, according to the Business Resilience policy and respective directives. The Head of Business Resilience is responsible for the BR governance, materials, training and tools. This role provides strategic direction and coordination for crisis management and incident response preparedness across regions and countries, supporting Holcim’s goal to create a safe, resilient, and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Group level program oversight and activities

  • Design, implement and oversee the Business Resilience program, activities and performance across countries and regions.
  • Provide strategic direction, coordinate and direct Business Resilience related matters across countries and regions.
  • Liaise with the Security regional team to ensure alignment with Holcim’s Security and Business Resilience framework and strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., IT, operations, HR, Sustainability) and external partners (e.g. International organisations, emergency services, vendors) to ensure coordinated response efforts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all projects, activities and performance; prepare regular reports for senior management on the status of the business resilience program.

2. Response to live incidents

  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies based on assessments of threat, risk and vulnerabilities.
  • Monitor industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging threats; continuously evaluate and improve the organization's resilience programs and projects to enhance its ability to withstand and recover from disruptions
  • Lead and coordinate response to incidents that require cross-functional collaboration,
  • ensuring timely and effective communication, resource allocation, and operational recovery
  • Support individual countries’ and regions’ preparation, response and recovery from incidents, Provide targeted advice, training and exercises for countries and regions.
  • Provide incident leadership to countries for special accident events

3. Program support

  • Design, implement, and maintain Business Resilience planning, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practice.
  • Develop and deliver training programs, exercises and awareness campaigns to educate employees at all levels about their roles and risks in Business Resilience.
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct regular exercises and simulations to validate the effectiveness of Business Resilience, crisis management and business continuity plans; identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1. Specific work experience

  • 10 years + of experience in the field of Business Resilience, Risk and Crisis Management.
  • Expertise in global security frameworks, risk management, and incident response strategies.
  • Experience working in a global, complex organizational structure, dealing with multi-national risks and operations.
  • Good understanding of Holcim operations and business.

2. Technical / functional skills

  • Strategic and problem-solving thinking
  • Leadership skills: inspiring and motivating teams during challenging times, fostering a culture of resilience
  • Crisis Management: Situational awareness and decision making.
  • Communication: Strong presentation and training skills; good client-facing presence with positive energy.

  • Composure: Ability to remain calm under professional pressure.

Language skills

English (required), any other language is a plus
