Job Description

Join us as a Head of Business Performance & Insights

  • Lead the Commercial & Institutional Banking (C&I) performance and insight capability, delivering data-driven analysis, automation and strategic challenge that supports sustainable growth, improved productivity, and better customer outcomes

  • You’ll own the end-to-end performance and insight ecosystem, from source data and cloud architecture through to executive-level reporting and decision-making

  • You’ll enjoy significant exposure to senior stakeholders, providing timely, trusted and actionable insight across key commercial, customer and productivity measures

  • You'll be required to work from the office at least two days each week

What you’ll do

As Head of Business Performance & Insights, you'll define and deliver a strategy that brings together operational and financial data to improve transparency, performance and efficiency across C&I. Working closely with Franchise teams and Data & Analytics colleagues, you’ll provide the insight needed to monitor business performance, track strategic delivery, and support informed decision-making.

This is a highly influential role where you’ll shape the success of the C&I business by modernising and automating performance management information (MI). You’ll use technologies such as Power BI, Power Apps, and AWS-enabled analytics to drive continuous improvement across the organisation.

You’ll be:

  • Driving automation and simplification across MI reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions, improving self-serve capability and reducing manual effort

  • Owning the performance analytics roadmap, ensuring consistent definitions, governance, and reporting standards across the business

  • Supporting the migration and adoption of AWS-based data and analytics capabilities

  • Leading, coaching, and develop a high-performing team of analysts and performance specialists

The skills you'll need

We're looking for someone with experience driving performance within a commercial environment, alongside a proven ability to use cloud-based and emerging technologies to automate, enhance, and streamline data and insight delivery. You'll bring strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior and executive audiences.

You’ll also demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of C&I performance and the drivers of positive customer outcomes across Franchise teams

  • Significant experience in commercial performance management, business analytics or financial insight

  • Advanced experience automating MI and data visualisation using modern analytics tools such as Power BI and Power Apps

  • Knowledge of cloud-based data and analytics environments, ideally AWS

  • Proven leadership experience developing high-performing analytical teams
