The Position

As Head of Business Finance at LIZY, you make sure our core financial engine runs smoothly and scales fast. You take complex cross-functional projects from A to Z with minimal steering, and you own the financial topics that directly impact margin, risk and customer experience.

You lead and grow your team, and you continuously improve processes and strengthen risk management. At LIZY, you will get the support to build strong AI and Automation capabilities: youโ€™ll learn how we apply these tools and work with the right internal experts. Youโ€™ll lead complex end-to-end automation projects that reduce cost, improve quality, and help us serve customers faster and better.

What youโ€™ll be doing:

  • lead high-impact projects end-to-end with high autonomy (eg new entity or tax setups, process redesigns, financing and business optimizations)

  • own credit risk management across the full lifecycle: scoring/decisioning, limits, early warning signals, collections strategy and continuous improvements

  • take ownership of residual value topics: methodology, governance, review cadence, and alignment with commercial and risk appetite

  • set up and manage new partnerships that strengthen our offering, unit economics and risk position (eg insurance, guarantees, new financial partners)

  • ensure strong financial reporting: monthly performance, forecasting, variance analysis, and clear business insights for leadership

  • act as a strategic finance partner to commercial and operations teams, translating performance, risk and unit economics into clear trade-offs and decisions

  • manage, coach and structure the team with clear ownership, priorities and high execution speed

  • proactively spot issues and opportunities, propose solutions, and implement improvements before they become problems

A good candidate is:

  • energized by a scale-up environment where priorities move fast and impact is visible

  • aware that great things are only achieved by working hard

  • naturally risk-aware, but pragmatic and commercially minded

Your profile:

  • Senior experience (typically 7-10+ years) in top tier consulting, m&a or a similar high-exposure environment, ideally combined with hands-on ownership in an operating role

  • Strong communication and project management skills, you can align stakeholders and make complex topics simple

  • Resourceful: This is a largely unpaved road, requiring things no one has done before. You can take independent decisions and initiatives.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high pace and high standards

  • Eager to learn: Strong desire to constantly improve and scale yourself

  • Fluent in English
