Head of Business Development – Complex Care
Midlands / North England
Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits (DOE)
Full-time, Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Head of Business Development to join a fast-growing, specialist healthcare provider delivering nurse-led complex care and supported living services across the UK. The organisation is recognised for delivering high-quality, clinically-led support to both adults and children with complex health needs, learning disabilities, neurodiversity, mental health needs, and behaviours that challenge. Operating across multiple regions throughout England, the provider has built a strong reputation for delivering person-centred, evidence-based care through highly skilled clinical and operational teams. With continued growth and ambitious expansion plans, the business is now looking for a commercially driven leader to head up business development activity across the Midlands and North, driving strategic partnerships and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the organisation’s Business Development strategy across Complex Care services
  • Drive growth through securing new complex care packages and commissioner partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with ICBs, case managers, local authorities, and healthcare stakeholders
  • Identify new market opportunities across complex care and supported living services
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing BD team
  • Work closely with operational and clinical teams to ensure successful mobilisation and delivery
  • Monitor pipeline activity, forecasting, and commercial performance
  • Support strategic expansion plans across the Midlands and North
  • Represent the organisation at networking events and sector forums

Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior business development role within Complex Care or Health & Social Care
  • Strong understanding of community complex care and supported living services
  • Existing relationships with commissioners, ICBs, and case management companies
  • Demonstrable track record of winning and growing complex care packages
  • Strong leadership, commercial, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work strategically within a high-growth environment
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required
