Head of Business Control Norway
We are looking for a Head of Business Control to join us at Telia.
I am Ann-Kristin Leknes Frey, the CFO at Telia Norway, and I am searching for someone ready to lead and further strengthen the Business Control function in Telia Norway. We are seeking a strong, forward-leaning leader who combines analytical strength with sharp business acumen and the ability to create impact through leadership.
This is a key leadership role at the core of our finance organization, responsible for driving forward-looking performance management, delivering high-quality financial insights, and enabling better decision-making across the business.
You will act as a close partner to the CFO and the leadership team, ensuring a strong link between strategy, financial planning, and execution.
What you’ll do:
Lead and develop the Business Control function (team of 6), ensuring strong performance management across Telia Norway
Drive the end-to-end performance cycle: target setting, forecasting, and follow-up on financial and operational performance
Deliver proactive insights, identify risks and opportunities, and challenge business assumptions
Strengthen decision support and ensure clear, action-oriented financial storytelling to senior management
Ensure alignment between strategy, financial planning, and business priorities
Act as a key sparring partner to the CFO, leadership team, and Business Partners
Lead and develop a strong, high-performing team
Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and ways of working
What will help you thrive in this role:
Solid experience from finance leadership roles, ideally within Business Control / FP&A
Proven ability to drive performance management and support strategic decision-making
Strong understanding of commercial drivers and business dynamics
Experience working closely with senior leadership teams
Relevant higher education (Finance, Economics or similar)
Excellent command of English is required; Norwegian proficiency is preferred
