Job Description

Vialto Partners is a market leader in global mobility services. Our purpose is ‘Connect the world.’ We are unique and the only stand-alone global mobility business. This presents a rare opportunity for our clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.

Vialto UK’s global immigration coordination team is hiring. This presents an opportunity to join a team of just under 100 Legal Risk & Compliance specialists collaborating closely with colleagues in Global Tax services to deliver practical global mobility advice with a business focus. Our global network provides immigration and tax services in over 50 countries.

Role Purpose

The Head of Business Continuity is responsible for the leadership and delivery of Vialto’s global Business Continuity framework, ensuring the firm maintains operational resilience across all jurisdictions. The role is accountable for the design, implementation, and ongoing management of business continuity plans, exercises, and governance, managing the transition from interim arrangements to a permanent, embedded capability. The role leads the Business Continuity Support function in Bangalore and acts as the senior escalation point for all business continuity matters across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Framework leadership and governance

  • Own and lead Vialto’s global Business Continuity framework, ensuring it is current, risk-based, and proportionate to the firm’s regulatory and operational obligations.
  • Implement the recommendations of the external Business Continuity consultant, translating findings into a structured improvement plan with clear milestones.
  • Maintain oversight of business continuity governance, ensuring appropriate escalation routes and accountability are embedded across the organisation.

Planning and risk assessment

  • Maintain and develop business continuity plans across all critical functions and jurisdictions, ensuring plans reflect current operational structures and risk exposures.
  • Conduct and oversee regular risk assessments and business impact analyses, identifying material vulnerabilities and recommending mitigating controls.
  • Ensure the firm’s critical functions are identified, assessed, and protected in line with regulatory requirements and the firm’s risk appetite.

Testing and exercising

  • Design and lead an annual programme of business continuity tests and exercises, ensuring scenarios are realistic, outcomes are documented, and lessons are embedded.
  • Oversee the Business Continuity Support team in Bangalore in the delivery of regional desktop reviews and exercises.
  • Ensure test findings are escalated appropriately and used to drive continuous improvement in plan quality and organisational readiness.

Training and awareness

  • Oversee the design and delivery of business continuity training across the organisation, ensuring staff understand their responsibilities and plans are actionable.
  • Promote a culture of resilience and preparedness, ensuring business continuity is treated as an operational priority rather than a compliance exercise.

Leadership and team management

  • Lead and develop the Business Continuity Support team (x2, Bangalore), providing clear objectives, regular performance feedback, and structured development support.
  • Work in close partnership with the Head of Risk & Compliance, the CCRO, and regional operational leads to ensure Business Continuity, Risk, and Compliance frameworks operate as an integrated system.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for business continuity incidents and emerging threats across the organisation.

Measures of Success

  • A current, tested, and Board-ready global Business Continuity framework maintained across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • External consultant recommendations implemented to plan and on schedule.
  • Annual testing programme completed with outcomes documented, actioned, and evidenced.
  • High business continuity training completion rates across the organisation.
  • Business Continuity Support team in Bangalore operating effectively against defined service levels.

Experience and Background

  • Significant experience in a senior Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, or Risk management role within a complex, global organisation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing business continuity frameworks and leading multi-jurisdictional testing programmes.
  • Experience managing or overseeing offshore or regionally distributed teams.
  • Relevant Business Continuity qualification (e.g. ISO 22301, BCI certification, or equivalent) is desirable.

Key Personal Attributes

  • Structured and methodical leader with a strong track record of delivering resilience programmes in complex environments.
  • Clear and confident communicator, able to engage effectively with senior leadership, regional stakeholders, and offshore teams.
  • Calm and decisive under pressure, with sound judgement in crisis and incident management situations.
  • Collaborative and pragmatic, with high personal integrity and commitment to organisational preparedness.
