Job Description

Imagine a future where you shape how critical energy infrastructure is constructed, maintained, and operated, ensuring stable, reliable heat and power for society

Join us in this role where you’ll lead the Contract Management Team for Ørsted’s Bioenergy business. You’ll set direction, develop people, and ensure strong supplier partnerships across complex CAPEX and OPEX projects, balancing long‑term strategy with day‑to‑day operational excellence.

Welcome to Bio Procurement
You’ll be part of the Bio Procurement department where you, together with your leadership team, will report directly to the Head Bio Procurement. You’ll support and lead a Contract Management team of skilled professionals. Together with your team, you’ll take care of all aspects of Contract Management for bio power plants and infrastructure assets.

As a team, we collaborate openly, support each other, and succeed as one in a psychologically safe and performance‑driven environment.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • leading the professional execution of our Ørsted’s bioenergy assets, from construction to execution to operation
  • setting Contract Management direction and priorities to support both successful construction of assets and operational reliability
  • acting as escalation point in supplier contractual and commercial discussions
  • representing procurement in key governance forums and management groups across the bioenergy business
  • developing strong, value‑creating supplier relationships
  • building collaboration, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing across procurement teams and locations
  • be part of the management team of Bio Procurement

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have leadership experience or desire to pursue this and enjoy developing people in a complex, professional environment
  • bring strong Contract Management experience
  • have worked with large CAPEX and OPEX projects within heavy industry, infrastructure, or asset‑intensive environments
  • are comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, turning complexity into clear recommendations
  • communicate with clarity, and engage confidently with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • have a strategic mindset and a strong focus on results, while balancing collaboration and care for people.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.

About Ørsted

Ørsted is the global leader in offshore wind power and is one of the largest renewable energy companies in the world.

Within a decade, we transformed from being one of Europe’s most fossil fuel-intensive utilities to being ranked as one of the most sustainable energy companies in the world. Today, we’re guided by a clear vision: to create a world that runs entirely on green energy.

We provide countries, companies, and communities with sustainable, reliable, and cost-competitive energy solutions, including offshore and onshore wind, solar, renewable hydrogen, and energy storage. We built the world’s first offshore wind farm back in 1991, and with over 2,000 turbines at sea, we’ve installed more offshore wind capacity than anyone else. In total, we own or operate over 17 GW of renewable energy capacity across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

We know that to build renewable energy at pace and scale, we must build it right. We commit to developing and operating our assets in harmony with nature and in line with the need for science-based climate action. We prioritise integrity and safety in our operations, and we respect the human rights and diverse values of every employee and stakeholder.

As a global renewable energy leader, we leverage the curiosity and passion of our people to innovate and take new or existing technologies to scale, collaborating with governments, suppliers, and our industry partners to make green energy solutions a reality.
