Could you be the full-time Head of Bid Management D&IS Onboard and Urban (f/m/d) in Berlin/ Mannheim we’re looking for?

Your Future Role

Ernst-Reuter-Platz 6, in the heart of Berlin, is home to Alstom's DACH regional headquarters. Up to 500 colleagues of more than 40 nationalities work here, focusing on project management, business development, and regional strategy, with a special emphasis on rail digitalization. Our product line Digital & Integrated Systems (D&IS) answers worldwide mobility challenges for passengers and freight transportation through digitalization. You’ll report to Tomar Siddhant and work alongside a dedicated and enthusiastic team.

We’ll look for you to

• Be responsible for the full value chain of all Bids running in D&IS Onboard and Urban for DACH region including technical and commercial.
• Define and drive the bid strategy for the D&IS Onboard and Urban Business for DACH region including strategic decision making for PiO.
• Define the Strategy together with Sales & Business on where to execute the complete value chain of the Project, including decision making on the serial installation of trains.
• Manage the Tender Quality Costs Delivery Performance (QCDP) commitment for High or Medium critical bids.
• Responsible for delivering a winning proposal with the team, with a defined scope, accurate QCDP commitments, in a timely manner and within the defined tender budget.
• Lead a team of 15+ members and manage skills development plans for the team with HR support.
• Lead by example and be focused on going the extra mile to deliver.
• Resource Allocation to bids including S&OP for Bids.
• Support and lead the development of result-oriented working culture environment.
• Collaborate with Platform D&IS in the framework of bids.
• Support commercial and technical negotiations with customers in the frame of bids.
• Ready to travel up to 50-80% of the time.

• Degree in engineering or in a similar field (e.g. engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, railway technology).
• Good knowledge of financial (rules to build consolidated costs, cash curve, hedging), contractual (bonds & guarantees) and legal (obligations, penalties) aspects to be able to interface with internal relevant parties and assess impacts on costing.
• Good capability to manage efficient team working to produce the tender deliverables within a limited period and under stressful conditions.
• Good Communications skills and reporting capabilities.
• A good sense of anticipation, great negotiation skills and a customer-oriented approach.
• English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role and German fluency is highly preferred.
