Purpose / Mission

As Head of Application Engineering SEAP, you lead the regional AE organization with a strong focus on Electric Automation You drive a collaborative team‑selling approach with Sales and ensure exceptional pre‑ and post‑sales technical support for EA Focus Customers. Through your leadership, the team proactively develops customer opportunities and strengthens Festo’s position as the preferred partner for motion solutions across the SEAP region.

The Head of Application Engineering for SEAP is essential to supporting strong business growth in Emerging Asia and ensuring high‑quality technical execution close to the market. The role delivers fast, reliable, and customer‑specific application support while reinforcing collaboration between Sales and Application Engineering. By enabling scalable technical processes across the region and building robust local AE capabilities, the position directly contributes to revenue growth, improved conversion rates, and long‑term customer retention.

Daily coordination is essential to align technical requirements, support key opportunities, and address complex application challenges. Strong communication skills are critical for translating customer needs into actionable technical tasks, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring smooth collaboration across regional and global teams.
People Leadership

  • Defining clear goals and objectives for the Application Engineering team in alignment with global and cluster strategies.
  • Developing technical talent across the region to meet rising customer expectations and evolving market demands.
  • Fostering strong collaboration across countries and functions to ensure consistent application expertise and knowledge sharing.
  • Building a high‑performance culture centered on customer value, speed, and technical excellence.

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
  • Strong technical expertise in servo systems, motion control, electric axes, and multi‑axis handling/robotics.
  • Experience in pre‑sales, after‑sales, and technical project execution for automation solutions.
  • Proven leadership experience in a regional or multi‑country environment with at least five years at a comparable management level.
  • Demonstrated success working in team-selling structures and supporting commercial outcomes through technical expertise.
  • High customer orientation with the ability to translate application needs into scalable EA concepts.
  • Structured, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Willingness to travel across the SEAP region.
