Job Description

Head of AIFM

Business Unit: GFS: Fund Solutions

Location: Luxembourg

Job type: Permanent, hybrid

Hours: Full-time, 40h/week

About the Role

CSC is seeking an experienced and commercially driven executive to lead its Luxembourg Alternative Investment Fund Management Company (AIFM). The role combines strategic leadership, Board-level accountability, full P&L ownership and direct accountability for profitable revenue growth, market positioning and commercial execution.

The successful candidate will develop and execute a go-to-market plan, build and convert a sustainable pipeline of standalone third-party AIFM mandates and embed the AIFM proposition within CSC's integrated one-stop-shop offering, including Fund Administration, Depositary Services, SPV Management, Corporate Services and Governance Solutions. Success will be measured through revenue growth, margin delivery, new mandate wins, client retention and expansion of multi-service relationships.

The role forms part of CSC's broader European AIFM platform, currently including Luxembourg, Ireland and Denmark, and requires effective collaboration with AIFM peers, global Alternatives leadership and Luxembourg-based business leaders.

Some of the things you’ll be doing

Business Leadership and Growth

  • Execute the commercial strategy for CSC's Luxembourg AIFM business, aligned with European platform priorities and target client segments.
  • Own the P&L and deliver agreed revenue, margin, cost, cash collection and investment objectives through disciplined budgeting, forecasting and performance management.
  • Partner with Sales and Business Development to define priority markets, originate opportunities and convert prospects, RFPs and fee proposals into profitable mandates.
  • Maintain senior relationships with fund sponsors, investment managers, institutional investors, advisers and intermediaries, acting as a visible commercial leader in the Luxembourg market.
  • Set pricing and commercial terms that balance competitiveness, risk, delivery complexity and target returns.
  • Drive client retention, growth and sustainable profitability by attracting new mandates and expanding relationships, using clear commercial KPIs and regular pipeline, win-rate and client profitability reviews.

European AIFM Platform Leadership

  • Operate as a key member of CSC's European AIFM leadership team.
  • Collaborate with AIFM leaders in Luxembourg, Ireland, Denmark and future jurisdictions.
  • Share best practices, regulatory insights, market intelligence and commercial opportunities.
  • Support consistent governance, operating models and client service standards across the platform.

Conducting Officer and Regulatory Oversight

  • Lead day-to-day management of the AIFM in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and governance requirements.
  • Maintain constructive relationships with the CSSF, auditors and control functions.
  • Oversee compliance, AML/CFT, risk management, policies, procedures and regulatory reporting.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure appropriate implementation within the business.

Integrated CSC Solutions

  • Act as a strategic ambassador for CSC's integrated AIFM, Fund Administration, Depositary, SPV Management, Corporate and Governance Solutions offering.
  • Work with CSC leaders to originate, scope and close multi-service opportunities, ensuring clear ownership of the client proposition and sales process.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and market-facing solutions that respond to client needs, competitor activity and regulatory change.
  • Promote CSC's culture and actively support cross-selling, referrals and coordinated account planning across service lines and jurisdictions.

Luxembourg Leadership

  • Act as a member of CSC Luxembourg's senior leadership team.
  • Work closely with Luxembourg Fund Administration, Depositary, and SPV Services leaders.
  • Contribute to local strategy, operational alignment, resource planning and integrated client delivery.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of AIFM regulations, Luxembourg fund legislation, CSSF requirements and ESMA guidance.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT, compliance, governance and risk management frameworks.
  • Good understanding of AIFM, Fund Administration, Depositary and SPV Management operating models.

Multi-Jurisdictional Teamwork

  • Work effectively across a multi-jurisdictional operating model and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Build alignment with AIFM peers, global leaders and local Luxembourg business leaders.
  • Balance local regulatory priorities with regional and global strategic objectives.

People and Culture

  • Develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring and effective succession planning.
  • Create a collaborative, inclusive and accountable working environment.
  • Champion CSC mindset across jurisdictions and business.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?

  • Proven leadership experience within a Luxembourg AIFM, Super ManCo, asset manager, or alternative investment platform, with the ability to operate at Executive, Board, or Conducting Officer level.
  • Strong commercial acumen with a demonstrated track record of driving revenue growth, managing P&L responsibility, winning new business, and developing third-party AIFM mandates.
  • Deep knowledge of AIFMD, Luxembourg fund regulations, CSSF requirements, AML/CFT, governance, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
  • Extensive relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain trusted partnerships with fund sponsors, investment managers, institutional investors, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of AIFM, Fund Administration, Depositary Services, SPV Management, and Corporate Services, with a proven ability to identify and deliver cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collaborative and influential leader with experience working across multi-jurisdictional European teams, developing high-performing teams, and aligning local business priorities with regional and global strategic objectives.
