About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Head of AI Engineering to design, develop, deploy, and optimize AI-powered solutions that drive business value and operational efficiency. The role focuses on building production-ready AI applications using Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, agentic AI frameworks, and AI-assisted development tools such as OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and Microsoft Copilot
Working closely with business stakeholders, software engineers, architects, data professionals, and product teams, the AI Engineer will deliver scalable AI solutions that enhance automation, decision-making, customer experience, and productivity while ensuring compliance with AI governance and security standards.
Role Responsibilities
AI Solution Development
Design, build, test, and deploy AI and Generative AI applications.
Develop intelligent agents, copilots, and AI-powered automation solutions.
Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using enterprise data sources.
Design and implement multi-agent AI systems for complex business workflows.
Develop custom AI integrations using APIs, SDKs, and cloud-native AI services.
Optimize and fine-tune AI solutions for performance, accuracy, and user experience.
AI Engineering & Software Development
Develop production-ready software applications leveraging AI-assisted development tools.
Use OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and Microsoft Copilot to accelerate development and improve code quality.
Build AI services using Python, JavaScript, .NET, or other modern programming languages.
Develop RESTful APIs and microservices supporting AI solutions.
Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices for AI applications.
Ensure application scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
Data & Platform Integration
Connect AI solutions with enterprise data platforms, databases, APIs, and business applications.
Design and implement vector databases and semantic search capabilities.
Develop data pipelines supporting AI training and inference workloads.
Integrate AI solutions with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud environments.
Ensure AI solutions comply with organisational governance, security, and compliance requirements.
AI Governance & Risk Management
Implement AI governance frameworks, guardrails, and responsible AI practices.
Monitor model performance, drift, hallucinations, and bias.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organisational policies.
Conduct AI solution testing, validation, and performance monitoring.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with business stakeholders to identify AI opportunities.
Translate business requirements into technical AI solutions.
Provide technical leadership and best practice guidance across AI initiatives.
Support knowledge sharing, mentoring, and capability development within teams.
Basic Skills
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
14+ years of total experience
5+ years of software engineering experience.
2+ years of hands-on AI/Generative AI engineering experience.
Experience building AI-powered applications using OpenAI, Claude, or similar LLM platforms.
Experience using OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and Microsoft/GitHub Copilot within software development lifecycles.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
