Digital is one of the fastest growing parts of our business, and we're looking for a Head of AI Acceleration to lead our transformation into an AI-native organisation. This role is about far more than experimentation. It's about embedding AI, machine learning, automation and agentic capabilities into the way we create products, build technology, operate services and deliver customer experiences.

This is a delivery-focused leadership role for someone who has successfully taken AI initiatives from concept through to production adoption and measurable business outcomes. We're looking for a leader who knows how to identify high-value opportunities, rapidly experiment, build scalable solutions and drive adoption at scale.

You'll act as an acceleration layer across Digital, helping teams fundamentally rethink how work gets done through AI while lifting productivity, engineering velocity, customer outcomes and commercial performance.

What you’ll do 

• Lead Digital's transition to becoming an AI-native organisation
• Build and scale AI, machine learning, automation and agentic capabilities across the Digital value chain
• Identify high-value AI opportunities and lead delivery from ideation to production adoption
• Transform products and business processes through AI-native design principles
• Industrialise AI and automation solutions that improve productivity, speed and quality
• Establish architecture standards, reusable patterns and delivery frameworks for AI at scale
• Lead responsible AI governance, risk and compliance practices
• Build organisational capability and drive adoption of AI-enabled ways of working
• Build and lead a high-performing team of AI specialists

What you’ll bring 

• A leader who has moved beyond AI strategy and into successful implementation
• Proven experience delivering and scaling AI, machine learning and automation solutions in complex environments
• Demonstrated success taking AI initiatives from concept through to production adoption and value realisation
• Experience implementing Generative AI, LLM, machine learning or intelligent automation capabilities in production environments
• Strong software engineering and solution architecture expertise
• Experience establishing enterprise AI standards, governance and architecture patterns
• Deep understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, intelligent automation and emerging technologies
• The ability to translate emerging technologies into measurable productivity, customer and commercial outcomes
• Experience leading high-performing engineering, AI or architecture teams`
