Head of Agent Performance
This role is based in Milton Keynes, with travel required as part of the role.
At Mercedes-Benz Cars, our passion lies not only in what we build and deliver, but in the people who bring it to life. We’re enthusiastic, forward-thinking and dedicated to shaping the future of mobility with sustainable solutions and outstanding customer experiences.
Together, we create an inclusive workplace where everyone feels they belong, can contribute and be their best self. Our culture is built on respect and equal opportunity. We celebrate the diversity of our teams, recognising that different perspectives and experiences strengthen who we are, what we do and how we do it.
How you'll play your part
As Head of Agent Performance, you will set the direction for the field sales team, lead and develop a team of District Sales Managers, and ensure the delivery of ambitious national sales, market share and finance objectives delivered through our franchise partners.
We're looking for a commercially astute and inspiring leader who takes ownership, drives accountability and continually challenges the status quo to improve performance. You will bring experience in sales leadership and commercial performance management, alongside a strong understanding of automotive retail and leading high-performing field-based teams.
Working within a fast-paced environment, you will:
· Lead, coach and develop a high-performing field sales team, creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and commercial excellence.
· Champion execution of local strategic sales initiatives, ensuring consistent adoption of business priorities, campaigns and operational changes across the Agent network.
· Ensure regulatory compliance, governance standards and customer outcomes are embedded throughout the sales operation, working closely with Governance & Oversight teams.
· Represent franchise partner sales performance within senior leadership forums, providing clear recommendations and influencing business strategy.
· Own the performance, capability and development of the District Sales Manager team, ensuring the right skills and behaviours are in place to deliver current and future business objectives.
What you'll bring
The requirements for this role are highlighted below. If your experience looks a little different and you believe you have transferable skills that would help you succeed in this role, we'd love to hear from you.
· Strong commercial and strategic acumen, turning insight into growth, market share and performance.
· Proven sales leadership experience, building high-performing teams and delivering results through others.
· Strong performance manager, creating accountability, driving improvement and raising standards.
· Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the credibility to build trusted relationships with a range of stakeholders.
· Confident communicator, translating complex information into clear commercial recommendations.
· Experienced change leader, driving transformation and adoption across a national network.
· Customer and commercially focused, balancing customer experience with sustainable growth.
· Resilient and accountable leader, confident making decisions and taking ownership.
