Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Head of Accounting & Financial Reporting to lead accounting and financial reporting across the Group’s entities and jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and timely reporting in line with IFRS and Group accounting policies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee accounting and financial reporting activities across the Group entities and jurisdictions, including coordination with local finance teams and external accounting service providers.
  • Manage the monthly and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, preparing monthly management reporting pack.
  • Oversee the preparation of standalone and consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS and applicable local requirements, including multi-entity and multi-currency consolidation.
  • Ensure consistent application of Group accounting policies, procedures and internal controls across all entities.
  • Coordinate statutory and Group audits.
  • Ensure that trading, brokerage and other operational activities are accurately reflected in the accounting records, working closely with Reconciliation, Treasury, Payments and other relevant functions.
  • Ensure that financial information supporting regulatory, tax and other statutory reporting is accurate and properly reconciled.
  • Drive standardisation, automation and continuous improvement of accounting and financial reporting processes.
  • Manage the implementation of new ERP system and process automatization.

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field and a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and practical experience in preparing financial statements.
  • Solid experience in a senior accounting, financial reporting or financial control role.
  • Demonstrated experience in standalone and consolidated financial reporting within an international, multi-entity and multi-currency group.
  • Experience managing external audits and statutory financial reporting processes.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong hands-on experience with 1C accounting software.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Additional Advantages

  • Previous experience within a CFD/FX broker, investment firm, fintech, payments business or other regulated financial-services organisation, with an understanding of brokerage-related accounting.
  • Russian language is a significant advantage.
  • Big Four or other international audit-firm experience.
  • Experience with SAP Business One, would be considered an advantage.
  • Experience implementing or enhancing accounting, ERP, consolidation or financial reporting systems.
