Why this role matters

As a Head of Accounting and Finance, you will be primarily responsible for the Finance Department of the local Jordan entity.

You will perform tasks related to financial procedures, accounting restrictions, and daily settlements of Exness Jordan clients. You will also review client contracts and ensure their validity and the accuracy of their contents, coordinating with the compliance officer to ensure Exness Jordan meets its obligations.

You will also be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the local office for its smooth operation.

Your role will include responsibility for the performance of the local company, looking after the interests of its principals, safeguarding the reputation of the local company and the Exness Group, and promoting Exness Group values and culture.

What you'll actually do

  • Setting up and maintaining the local Finance Function in line with the group’s strategic objectives and liaising with group functions and companies to achieve such strategic objectives.
  • Develop Finance policies and procedures in line with the local regulatory requirements, present them to the local Board of Directors and update them from time to time as required.
  • Register with JSC (Jordan Securities Commission) as the accredited Operations Manager and act as the main point of contact with them in relation to the Operations Manager responsibilities.
  • Always maintain accreditation with the Securities and Commodities Authority as the Operations Manager by fulfilling all duties imposed by the local regulation, including, but not limited to, attending the training required for the Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
  • Liaise with the local Head of Compliance to ensure that all required reports are filed with the competent authorities promptly. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
    • Quarterly and annual audited financial statements.
    • Monthly Capital Adequacy reports.
    • Monthly Client Money Segregation reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submissions to the Ministry of Finance, Federal Tax Authority and any other regulatory authority.
  • Ensuring that the daily finance operations of the company run smoothly and in accordance with the relevant laws and directives.
  • Draft and review Finance reports to the local Board of Directors and to group companies, including the implementation of the decisions taken during those meetings.
  • Act as the main point of contact with external auditors, tax consultants and other counterparties.
  • Ensure timely closure of findings raised by internal audit, external audit and any regulatory authority in relation to the Finance Department.

Who we’re looking for

  • University degree in Finance or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of working experience in the CFD industry or a relevant field
  • Fluent in English and Arabic, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Genuine interest in financial markets
  • Ability to travel overseas.
