As part of Asia Drive Engineering Organization, China Functional Engineering team is responsible for the technical solutions for Seagate Hard Drive products in quality, reliability and yield improvements. Our team is comprised of five functional groups, covering all aspects of HDD technology – Servo, Mechanical, Recording head & media integration, Read/Write channel electronics and Tribology.
● Understand how to perform Head Media FA on all post process failures and determine root cause. Work with various groups to develop corrective actions and follow through the implementations.
● Conceive and develop solutions to engineering programs through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices and procedures.
● Lead recording head and media system integration in factory for released drive products yield improvement, reliability improvement, and new head & media qualification.
● Work with drive design center, recording head/media development and manufacturing organization to provide head and media system integration engineering support for pre-launch product.
● Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Physics, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant disciplines.
● Basic HDD knowledge. Demonstrated ability to solve conflicts and deliver optimized solutions.
● Has positive attitude for work and willing to take challenge.
● Data analytic experience & familiar with data mining & modeling.
● Good communication skills with fluent oral and written English.
