Job Purpose: Head - Marine Services oversees all marine operations, ensuring efficient vessel handling, docking, and port services. Develop strategic initiatives] to enhance operational efficiency, safety standards, and customer satisfaction. Lead a team to deliver high-quality marine services aligned with industry regulations and business objectives.

Plan and review pilotage operations in the port Review marine operations performance parameters of Berth Capability, Berth Utilization and Channel Capability and take corrective actions Ensure implementation of safety and security policy/procedures. Put in place systems to Identify, investigate, record and report on all incidents. Ensure the learning’s are captured to facilitate continuous improvement

All the Key interaction of Marine Services function and liaison with other departments, internal as well as external customers will be done through him

To provide adequate resources directly in Consultation with Chief Operating Officer / CEO for functional requirements

Establishing, documenting and updating Marine Services operational management systems at Port

Setting Departmental objectives in consultation with COO and achieving Objectives, prepare budgets, review performance and ensure the systems are followed All the legal and legislative requirements are complied and reported to the various review forums, like Monthly Process Reviews, Quarterly Review Meeting and also regular meetings Monitor Vessel Traffic trends and take necessary corrective actions to handle the traffic Prepare, Monitor and review Capex and Opex budgets of marine department Overall In charge of all activities in Marine Services department

Review the maintenance work of all Jetties, floatilla, moorings, navigation buoys and lights and take necessary corrective actions

Monitor Berth & Channel Depths, Widths and plan maintenance dredging activities

Ensures all the requirements pertaining to ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001

Review marine maintenance spares and consumables inventory and take corrective actions

Monitor and maintain the Hazira Port Pilotage Guidelines and navigational standards

Put in place plans/procedures to prevent oil spills and for prompt response to oil spills

Ensure timely certification/approvals of Tugs

Liaise with MMD related authorities/ DG shipping, customs and coast guard

Strategic Branding of Adani Group within and outside the organization amongst the internal / external stakeholders

Developing Talent / Leadership pipeline within the department

Ensuring Digital Transformation within the department

Educational Qualification:

Master Mariner FG

Work Experience:

Min. 15-20 years of experience in relevent field

Minimum 2 Years of experience:

In Heading Marine Function / previous experience in APSEZ port as a pilot. Experience in managing marine operations in a port/leading shipping lines/navy is mandatory. Pilotage skills will be preferred
