Job Description

Legal Advice and contracts:

  • Provide proactive legal advice and support to Airport’s business.
  • Advise on specific legal issues that may be encountered by Airport BU with respect to various laws.
  • Identify areas of potential risk that maybe faced by Airport BU while entering into agreements with vendors and specific third parties.
  • Monitor key trends in the regulatory and statutory environment for their impact on Airport BU and suggest an action plan for addressing them.
  • Provide legal advice on various customer contracts that Airport BU may enter into.
  • Provide legal advice in structuring and drafting/vetting of all contracts and other documents relating to Airport BU’s business and assist in associated negotiations.
  • Assist in evaluations and conducting thorough due diligence for all deals and transactions, highlight concern areas and recommend risk mitigation strategies / options.

  • Manage customer contracts and the interests of Airport BU s’ business though appropriate correspondence and communiqués.
  • Maintain good standards of corporate governance, including ensuring compliance with applicable laws, consents, regulations, Adani Group policies and Stock Exchange rules
  • Provide general legal support to Airport BU’s subsidiaries as and when required.
  • Highlight any statutory and other disclosures that need to be made for Airport BU from a legal perspective.
  • Keep abreast with latest legal developments.
  • Responsible for drafting / vetting all contracts, applications and other documents required by Airport BU’s retail, commercial and other teams.
  • Assist in assessing legal risks in transactions, contracting and operations of business, customer, union and workforce related matters.
  • Provide support to effectively monitor and enforce the contracts from a legal perspective and lead the litigation process if required in close coordination with the concerned function.
  • Assist in negotiations with the third party and provide legal support in drafting agreements & contracts to the internal customers.
  • Evaluate the impact of evolving legal and statutory regulations on the company’s current and proposed investments and highlight the same in time and contribute to the business planning process.
  • Legal support in litigation cases:
  • Manage Airport BU’s litigation and disputes and brief external counsel.
  • Interface with advocates and solicitors on the behalf of Airport BU to handle litigation, obtain legal advice and legal services.
  • External interface with customers and business partners on all issues of disputes and policy interpretation.
  • Resolve long standing pending cases and negotiate out-of-court settlements for the identified cases.

(degree, training, or certification required)

  • LLB
