About the Role

Capella Lodge is hiring a Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team for the upcoming season commencing mid-August.

Located on the spectacular Lord Howe Island, Capella Lodge offers a refined, intimate guest experience set amongst dramatic landscapes and pristine natural beauty. As Head Housekeeper, you will play a pivotal leadership role in maintaining the lodge’s exceptional standards of cleanliness, presentation, and guest comfort.

You will oversee daily housekeeping operations, lead and mentor a dedicated team, and ensure
every suite and guest space reflects the luxury and attention to detail that defines the Capella experience. This role is integral to delivering seamless, high-quality guest experiences through impeccable standards and thoughtful service in a unique remote setting.

About You

You are an experienced and motivated housekeeping professional with a passion for excellence and leadership. You thrive in a hands-on role, enjoy developing teams, and take pride in delivering consistently outstanding guest environments.

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience in a senior housekeeping or supervisory role, ideally within luxury hospitality
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining five-star presentation standards
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent organisational skills
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach and strong communication abilities
  • Flexibility to work across a seasonal roster, including weekends
  • A genuine interest in living and working in a remote island environment
