As the Head - Digital Grid India, you will lead the growth, strategy, and execution of Siemens Energy's Digital Grid business in one of the world's most dynamic energy markets. You will be responsible for driving business expansion, strengthening customer relationships, identifying market opportunities, and positioning Siemens Energy as a trusted partner in India's energy transition journey.
In this leadership role, you will oversee the successful delivery of Digital Grid projects, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustainable business growth. Working closely with regional and global stakeholders, you will align local business priorities with the broader Digital Grid strategy while fostering strong partnerships across customers, regulators, and internal teams. We are looking for an experienced business leader with deep expertise in the power transmission and Digital Grid sector, who can combine strategic vision, market insight, and operational excellence to accelerate Siemens Energy's footprint in India.
How You'll Make an Impact
• Drive the growth strategy for the Digital Grid business in India by identifying market opportunities and expanding Siemens Energy’s presence across the energy sector.
• Lead the successful execution and delivery of Digital Grid projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in line with quality and customer expectations.
• Build and strengthen strategic relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, and partners to accelerate business development and support India’s energy transition initiatives.
• Act as the primary interface between India operations and regional/global leadership, ensuring alignment of local priorities with broader business objectives.
• Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and regulatory developments within the Indian energy landscape, translating insights into actionable business strategies.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration across engineering, sales, project management, and service teams to drive operational excellence and business growth.
• Support regional and global decision-making by providing critical market intelligence, operational insights, and performance updates from the India business.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and best-practice sharing to enhance organizational effectiveness and customer value.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while promoting collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence across the Digital Grid organization.
• Position Siemens Energy as a trusted partner in digitalization and grid modernization by delivering customer-centric solutions that address evolving energy challenges.
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Proven leadership experience within a global organization, with a strong track record of building, leading, and scaling business operations.
• Deep understanding of the energy transmission industry and Digital Grid market, with strong knowledge of the Indian energy sector.
• Extensive customer-facing experience (10+ years), with demonstrated success in developing strategic customer relationships and driving business growth.
• Strong understanding of the regulatory, policy, and market landscape governing India's power and energy sector.
• Excellent strategic thinking, business acumen, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable business strategies.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels.
• Proven experience working in multicultural and matrix organizations, effectively collaborating with regional and global teams.
• Proficiency in English, with strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel within India (approximately 10-15%) to engage with customers, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Passion for innovation, operational excellence, and driving the digital transformation of the energy industry.
