Ensure strict adherence to coal quality specifications, meeting customer and regulatory requirements.
Oversee coal sampling, testing, and certification processes to maintain quality consistency.
Monitor quality compliance as per Coal Controller’s Office (CCO) standards and ensure proper documentation and reporting.
Collaborate with operations and washing plants to optimize coal beneficiation and minimize quality deviations.
Develop and maintain a real-time coal quality tracking system to reduce rejections and improve customer satisfaction.
2. Logistics & Total Coal Dispatch (TCD) Optimization
Manage end-to-end coal transportation via rail, road, and port networks, ensuring timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Optimize freight costs and develop efficient coal dispatch schedules to avoid demurrage and transit delays.
Ensure compliance with railway and transport regulations, coordinating with rail authorities and logistics providers.
Implement GPS tracking and digital monitoring tools for real-time visibility of coal movement.
Develop contingency plans for transportation disruptions to ensure uninterrupted coal supply to RVNL and other stakeholders.
3. Contract Administration & Vendor Management
Oversee the execution and management of coal supply contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, ensuring competitive pricing and high service standards.
Ensure proper documentation and risk mitigation in contract administration to prevent disputes.
Monitor contract performance and drive cost optimization strategies to improve overall business efficiency.
Conduct periodic contract audits to assess vendor compliance and identify improvement areas.
4. Customer Relationship Management (Internal & External)
Maintain strong relationships with RVNL, ensuring seamless coal supply, quality assurance, and adherence to delivery commitments.
Act as the key liaison for internal and external customers, addressing concerns related to coal quality, dispatch schedules, and contract execution.
Ensure transparent communication with customers, providing real-time updates on coal quality, logistics, and dispatch status.
Collaborate with CCO representatives and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with coal distribution policies.
Work closely with power plants, industrial buyers, and trading partners to manage customer expectations and service quality.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure full compliance with coal dispatch and transportation regulations, minimizing legal and operational risks.
Develop a structured compliance framework for tracking and reporting coal movements, quality assurance, and contract obligations.
Conduct periodic audits to assess risks in logistics, contract execution, and regulatory adherence.
Engage with government bodies and industry stakeholders to ensure alignment with evolving regulatory frameworks.
Implement coal loss prevention measures to minimize pilferage, contamination, and transit inefficiencies.

Education Qualification
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering (Mining, Mechanical, or Civil), or a related field.
