Iron Mountain is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Cloud Operations to join our Business Function/Department teamIn this role, you will be responsible for leading the overarching strategy, 24x7 operations, reliability, and security of our enterprise hybrid cloud and datacenter infrastructure environmentsYou will champion operational excellence and lead a high-performing engineering team to maintain the optimal uptime and compliance of our mission-critical services
In this role, you will
Responsibility 1: Lead end-to-end public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure operations across production, Disaster Recovery, backup, and test environments to deliver optimal uptime, capacity optimization, and high availability
Responsibility 2: Collaborate with cross-functional application, cybersecurity, networking, and DevOps teams, as well as original equipment manufacturers and third-party vendors, to achieve seamless platform modernization and align operational strategies
Responsibility 3: Ensure strict compliance with organizational safety standards, infrastructure patching protocols, and regulatory benchmarks including Information Security Standard (ISO 27001), System and Organization Controls (SOC2), and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS)
The ideal candidate will have
12+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud, or datacenter operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a dedicated leadership role managing operational teams
Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud platforms (such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), virtualization (VMware), and Infrastructure as Code automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)
Proven ability in major incident management, Root Cause Analysis, proactive monitoring framework establishment, and strategic vendor relationship management
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; standard industry certifications (such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library, AWS Solutions Architect, or Azure Administrator) are highly preferred
