Head Chef

South Yorkshire | £40,000 Salary | Straight Shifts | Multi-Outlet Hotel Operation

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an ambitious Head Chef to join a well-established hotel operation in South Yorkshire, within easy reach of Leeds, Sheffield, Doncaster, Wakefield and surrounding areas.

Working alongside an experienced Executive Head Chef, this role offers the chance to take responsibility for one of the hotel's key kitchen operations while supporting the wider food offering across a busy and varied site. The property operates multiple food outlets, including restaurant dining, events and banqueting facilities, making this an excellent opportunity for a chef who enjoys variety and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

We are keen to speak with experienced Head Chefs, as well as strong Senior Sous Chefs looking to take the next step in their career. Previous experience within hotels, golf resorts, event venues or large fresh-food operations would be highly beneficial.

The Role

• Support the Executive Head Chef in the day-to-day running of a multi-kitchen operation
• Lead and organise one of the site's main kitchen teams
• Work across restaurant, events and banqueting services as required
• Ensure consistency and quality across all food offerings
• Train, develop and motivate junior chefs
• Assist with menu planning, food costing and stock control
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen compliance

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in a hotel, events, banqueting or multi-outlet environment
• Strong fresh food background
• Comfortable working across several kitchen operations
• Good organisational and leadership skills
• Experience catering for both restaurant service and larger functions
• A positive, hands-on approach to leading a team
• Senior Sous Chefs ready for their first Head Chef role are encouraged to apply
