JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree preferred. Experience A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience, ideally working with student-athletes in an intercollegiate setting. Must have strong communications skills including ability to communicate by telephone/e-mail/text.Licenses or Certifications NATABOC certified athletic trainer Financial Responsibility Annually preparing and managing the athletic training budgets. Supervision The Head Athletic Trainer will supervise all Assistant Athletic Trainers, Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainers and Per Diem Athletic Trainers. Additionally, the Head Athletic Trainer will oversee the supervision of work study student, visiting athletic training students and student-athletes under the care of the athletic training staff Special Knowledge Experience/certification with alternative therapies (IASTM, myofascial decompression, blood flow restriction, dry needling, etc…) to enhance the student-athletes treatment and recovery process is a plus SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONSAbility to travel; heavy lifting required (50 pounds and over); may be required to work when the university is closed. Ability to work in less than ideal weather conditions (i.e. high heat and below freezing temperatures with various precipitation). Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
