POSITION TITLE: Preventive Maintenance Technician
DEPARTMENT: Engineering
GRADE/FLSA STATUS: H11 – Non-Exempt
BADGE TYPE/COLOR: Key--Blue
REPORTS TO: Engineering Supervisor
SUPERVISES: N/A
Perform basic routine maintenance on a variety of HVAC and electrical equipment including; air handlers, energy recovery wheels, fan coils, heat pumps, chillers, cooling towers and boilers. Provide support in the department as directed by department management.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establish and endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
Follow manufacturer’s preventive maintenance schedules which include: changing filters, washing condenser/evaporator coils, checking pressures/temperatures, punching tubes, changing belts, etc.
Perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems
Utilize building automation and work order system
Maintain records of maintenance and repair using computerized maintenance programs
Abide by safety policies and report safety hazards to department management
Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions
Respond to emergency and critical situations
Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED required
Associates Degree (HVAC) or trade diploma in a technical field from an accredited educational institution preferred or one year of general maintenance experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs in a commercial, industrial or institutional facility required
Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record required
Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:
Ability to read and understand simple blueprints and diagrams
Ability to use technical manuals to understand equipment operation and maintenance
Basic understanding of chilled and hot water systems
Basic understanding of Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
Basic understanding of pumps, motors, and compressed air systems
Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
Ability to work independently
Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
ØStrong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent technical skills
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items
Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with hand and power tools
Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Must be able to move in all areas of the casino
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
