The Human Capital Management Systems (HCMS) Analyst is responsible for supporting and optimizing Workday Core HCM processes across the organization. This role serves as an expert for employee and contingent worker lifecycle transactions, provides consultative support to HR and business leaders, ensures data integrity, and drives continuous process improvements. This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in Pennsylvania or New Jersey.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configures Workday core HR, absence, benefits, compensation, payroll, recruitment, reporting and talent management.

  • Document requirements, discuss configuration design options, identify solutions, plan, and execute.

  • Design Workday reports focused on utility, visual presentation, and ease of interpretation for the end user.

  • Provide technical support to end users.

  • Analyze, maintain and troubleshoot issues. Perform analysis into root cause of problems and resolve as appropriate.

  • Document and track requests and product defects, manage issues resolution and coordinate problem resolution.

  • Perform audits of data to preserve its integrity and accuracy.

  • Regularly review user procedures/workflow to ensure system features are being fully utilized. Identify features that may improve efficiency.

  • Maintain ongoing knowledge of Workday releases and changes. Examine trends in HCMS training, materials and techniques. Participates in Workday user group meetings/conferences.

  • Partner with Senior HCMS Analyst and Workday Update Manager to determine the effect of releases and changes to current or future use.

  • Support the development and planning of new HR systems and/or enhancements. Analyze needs of the organization and recommend systems solutions.

  • Coordinate multiple phases of testing, to include writing test plans and test scripts, performing system testing and supporting user testing.

PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Sitting for up to 7 hours per day, 3 hours at a time, frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequent use of hands; uses upper extremities to rarely lift up to 10 pounds. Occasionally stoops, bends or reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation, seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision, and visual monotony.

EDUCATION:

Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school required. Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, MIS, computer science or related degree preferred.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

One to three years of related experience. Human Capital Management System (HCMS) experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Must demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive, confidential situations and an ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization. Requires effective organization and time management skills, the ability to multi-task and work independently.
