Classification Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience in an appropriate area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Job Description:
· Analyze payroll transactions and results to ensure accuracy and compliance.
· Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, exceptions, and complex pay issues.
· Perform reconciliations of payroll-related data and financial transactions.
· Audit payroll processes and records to identify and correct errors.
· Support payroll processing activities during peak periods and critical payroll cycles.
· Develop and execute payroll test scenarios and test scripts.
· Validate payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, taxes, leave accruals, and retroactive adjustments.
· Analyze test results and document findings, defects, and recommendations.
· Coordinate with functional and technical partners to track and resolve system issues.
· Participate in unit testing, integration testing, parallel testing, and user acceptance testing.
· Prepare payroll reports, data analyses, and operational metrics.
· Review data quality and identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
· Assist with regulatory reporting and audit requests.
· Support payroll balancing and reconciliation activities.
· Document payroll procedures, workflows, and controls.
· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance, and service delivery.
· Assist with implementation of new payroll processes and technologies.
· Support change management, knowledge transfer, and end-user training activities.
· Serve as a resource to payroll staff and campus partners regarding payroll processes and procedures.
· Collaborate with Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and Information Technology teams.
· Provide professional customer service while resolving payroll-related inquiries.
Expected Salary:
$65,000; Commensurate with experience.
