Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Business Solutions Manager, this role plays a key role in connecting HR, Payroll, and Technology. Leveraging deep expertise in HR and payroll processes, industry best practice, and SAP SuccessFactors, it ensures solutions are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and aligned to business needs.

Success is measured by strong architectural compliance, zero high-risk audit findings, seamless integrations, and reduced vendor reliance, while supporting the delivery of HR and Payroll strategic priorities.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Translating Yancoal’s HR strategy and workforce objectives into scalable, secure, and integrated SuccessFactors solutions, aligned with enterprise architecture standards, regulatory obligations, and user experience expectations.
  • Act as design authority for SuccessFactors, HR payroll interfaces and related enterprise integrations.
  • Providing oversight and assurance of vendor-delivered outcomes, including management of service provider deliverables
  • Assessing the bi-annual SuccessFactors and other HR / Payroll systems releases and provide guidance on cross‑module impacts and dependencies.
  • Managing the deployment, enhancements & support of related HR & Payroll Systems
  • Supporting the ICT Team with the implementation of additional modules and SuccessFactors analytics
  • Providing guidance to the business partners in the development of user procedures, guidelines, job aids and quick reference guides.
  • Embedding in solution design compliance with employment law, industrial relations requirements, data privacy, SOX and audit controls.
  • Ensuring the vendor delivered services are according to the Statement of Work or agreed SLAs
  • Supporting the change management process when looking at making changes to existing functionality to improve business process.

Skills and Experience

  • Science degree in Computer Science or related discipline
  • 8+ years enterprise HR and/or Payroll systems experience
  • 5+ years SAP SuccessFactors design or architecture experience
  • Experience with SuccessFactors integration. E.g. SAP Cloud Platform, APIs, or middleware.
  • Deep understanding of HR/Pay processes & SAP SuccessFactors modules
  • Advanced knowledge of SuccessFactors platform administration, configuration standards, and governance frameworks
  • Understanding of security frameworks, data privacy, and compliance requirements
  • Strong understanding of employment, payroll and data privacy controls
  • Strategic approach to aligning technology with business needs
  • Keeps up to date on the latest developments, trends, and best-practices
  • Proven stakeholder engagement and governance capability
  • Demonstrable analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
