The Driver is responsible for Safely, Efficiently, and Accurately delivering product to customers.

Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):

  • Uphold the fundamentals of the Nicholson Nine and Responsible Care Guiding Principles.
  • Deliver products in a safe and efficient manner as the face of PVS Chemicals.
  • Work safely by always following all the established rules of conduct.
  • Verify that every incoming or outgoing load matches the paperwork.
  • Notify inventory control and purchasing when product is missing in a delivery.
  • Maintain material handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections, making minor repairs, or tagging out and notifying your supervisor of issues.
  • Perform housekeeping as assigned.
  • Comply with all ISO 9001 procedures, work instructions and checklists.
  • Prepare and check shipping documents.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured.
  • Maintain logs and appropriate forms.
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing materials and containers.
  • Verify unloaded material against shipping documents.
  • Environmental, Health, Safety and Security are the responsibility of every PVS Employee!

Complexity of Duties:

  • Chemical manufacturing and distribution focus requires basic technical knowledge and understanding of the industry.

Required Education / Competencies / Equivalent Experience (Prior to hire / transfer):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.

o 2 Years of experience delivering hazardous chemicals is preferred

  • Clean driving record.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage your time and prioritize your daily tasks.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge.
  • Ability to repeatedly lift loads of 30-60 pounds.
  • Working knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Knowledge of chemical hazards and labeling requirements.
  • Knowledge of chemical segregation requirements.
