Charlotte Latin School seeks a dynamic part-time Hawk Shop Events Assistant starting in January 2026. If you have a passion for retail and a flexible schedule, this role is perfect for you!

The role is approximately 3-10 hours per week, covering essential evening and weekend shifts for sports, performing arts, admissions, and various special events. Please note that the weekly schedule will vary based on campus activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform cash register and sales duties by assisting customers with purchases and merchandise selection.
• Manage returns, refunds, and exchanges.
• Perform store-opening and store-closing duties in accordance with published store hours.
• Assist with Hawk Shop online orders, including promptly pulling sold merchandise from the store, preparing orders, packing, and having them ready for pickup.
• Other duties as assigned by the Hawk Shop Manager

Hours and Availability

• Available 3-10 Hours per week; August - May
• Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including evening and/or weekend work for sports, performing arts, admissions, and other special school events.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Minimum High School degree; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Previous Retail or Merchandising experience preferred.

Skills

• Strong communication skills with an ability to interact with customers and vendors.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to multitask.
• Ability to take direction and deliver a product or task to completion.
• Ability to work with technology, including Apple products.
• Exude team player mentality.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Basic mathematics and finance knowledge.

Working Conditions and Environment

• Intermittently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Continuously see, sit, balance, grasp, and have repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers; and fine finger dexterity.
• Frequently talk and hear.
• Intermittently stand, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, walk, climb stairs and ladders, operate foot and hand controls, squeeze, and reach above shoulders.
• Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, flammables, grease, dirt, stacked materials, electrical equipment, machinery, low to medium noise levels, and moderate heat and cold indoor temperatures.
• Long or odd hours, as needed.
