Responsibilities
Safe operation of the underground haul truck by adhering to all safety operating procedures
Perform pre-start checks, refuel and wash equipment.
Perform other duties as instructed by the shift supervisor
Ensure your health and safety and the health and safety of others
Ensure oncoming operator is given all relevant information relating to the current status and condition of your working areas.
Work with technical and supervisory staff in quality and safety initiatives.
Complete all tasks at the required rate and to the required standard.
Compliance to all applicable mine safe work procedures / safe operating procedures.
Participation in all applicable safety, prestart and shift team meetings.
Qualification requirements
Heavy Mobile Equipment operation skills
Experience and Competencies needed
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar industry.
Experience in underground hard rock mining mobile equipment operation.
Holds a Valid Tanzanian drivers licence.
Understanding of basic Mines Health & Safety Act.
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to perceive risks and prevent hazardous situations or circumstances before they occur.
