Harness Engineer

Redwire Defense Tech specializes in the design, manufacturing, and integration of autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and advanced electro-optical surveillance systems. Our technologies are trusted and deployed across defense, security, civil, and industrial sectors worldwide.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Harness join our Research & Development Team, at our modern production facility in Riga with cutting-edge equipment and a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creates wiring schematics and defines wiring routing, lengths, and connection points.
  • Selects suitable wires, connectors, terminals, insulation, protective materials, and harness mounting points.
  • Creates mechanical drawings and manufacturing documentation required for harness production required for harness production and assembly.
  • Ensures that harness designs meet mechanical, electrical, installation, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and productions Engineers to support prototype development and production implementation.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Energetic,Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • StrongEnglish communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360 ).
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes related to harness systems.
  • Proven experience in mechanical design and harness systems will be considered advantageous.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in mechanical engineering.
  • Excellent communication and Teamwork abilities.
