· Ideally, will have flexible availability of 6-10 hours per week and weekends – mornings, afternoons, and evenings

· Must be able to attend any scheduled team meetings

· Must be able to attend the Fall Hydration Station Student Staff Training and onboarding either in person or virtually on August 17th


Job Description:

GatorWell Health Promotion Services is seeking an OPS Hydration Station/Harm Reduction Student Assistant who is an enthusiastic, outgoing, motivated, and health-conscious student to promote well-being by assisting with a harm reduction outreach during tailgating throughout UF football home games in the Fall semester. Ideal candidates will be comfortable engaging with a variety of attendees, including UF students, faculty, staff, and community members. The candidate will support promoting hydration during tailgating and gameday, as well as assisting with data collection. Candidates will be able to navigate conversations around sensitive issues with professionalism, empathy, and confidence. Students of any major are welcome to apply.

Primary responsibilities will include the following: 

· Logistical assistance – Help perform physical tasks such as transportation of hydration-related resources and tents to various campus locations during football home games

· Communicate health messages and conduct related activities - Developed by GatorWell professional staff; candidates will help with data collection by tracking participation count throughout their time at the stations

· Distribute water and materials – Related to health communication messages at the hydration stations

· Assist and interact with all visitors – Conversations around social norming and the importance of hydration · Professionally represent GatorWell Health Promotion Services - Possess a strong comprehension of GatorWell's vision, mission, and goals

· Working as a team with other GatorWell Staff


Expected Salary:

$15/hour. This is a short-term, hourly OPS position and does not include a tuition/fee waiver or benefits


Required Qualifications:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through the Student Other Personnel Services (OPS). Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average and be enrolled for at least six credit hours that semester. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 10 hours per week, during the Fall 2026 UF home football game season.

· Current UF student (undergraduate or graduate, full or part-time)

· Must be able to start August 2026

· Must be able to work outside in various campus locations

· Must be able to attend any scheduled team meetings (TBD) 

· Must be able to attend the Fall Hydration Station Student Staff Training and onboarding either in person or virtually on August 17th

· Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds as well as assist with setup and takedown of the tents, cleaning, and other duties as directed.

· Must be able to work throughout the fall semester and ALL the Fall 2026 UF home football games: September 5, 12, 26, October 10, November 7, 21


Preferred:

· Experience in customer service 

· Strong interest in health and wellbeing 

· Excellent verbal communication skills 

· Ability to connect with others easily/outgoing 

· Ability to work well as part of a team 

· Excellent organizational and time management skills 

· Excellent attendance and punctuality
