Roles & Responsibilities :
Seeking an experienced Hardware Project Manager to lead development and delivery of Battery Management System (BMS) hardware for grid-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) The role involves end-to-end ownership of hardware lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, system integration, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution & Delivery
Lead complete lifecycle of BMS hardware projects (concept ? design ? validation ? release)
Define scope, timelines, milestones, and resource plans
Monitor project KPIs, risks, and ensure on-time delivery
Hardware Development & Technical Coordination
Drive development of:
BMS electronics (AFE, MCU, sensing, protection circuits)
Communication interfaces (CAN, Ethernet)
Ensure alignment with BESS system architecture (battery, PCS, EMS integration)
Coordinate cross-functional teams: Hardware, Software, Mechanical, V&V
System Requirements & Integration
Translate system-level requirements into hardware specifications
Ensure requirement traceability and system-level integration
Support end-to-end product integration and change management
Validation, Quality & Compliance
Lead DVP, validation, and qualification testing
Drive FMEA, root cause analysis, and issue resolution
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (IEC, UL, functional safety)
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
Manage vendors for PCB design, prototyping, and testing
Ensure clear communication and alignment on deliverables
Documentation & Product Release
Ensure availability of:
Design documents, test reports, interface specifications
Support product release, certification, and manufacturing handover
Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
Experience
15–20 years in hardware development & project management
Experience in BMS / Battery Systems / Power Electronics / BESS
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of:
BMS architecture, battery sensing, balancing
Embedded hardware & analog/digital design
System integration in energy storage systems
Understanding of validation processes (DVP, testing, reliability)
Project & Tools
Experience in:
Project planning, risk management, stakeholder handling
Tools: Jira / MS Project / equivalent tracking tools
Soft Skills
Strong leadership & communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving mindset (critical for BMS domain)
Preferred Skills
