Job Description

Teknion Custom Solutions, a leading custom wood furniture manufacturer in Calgary, is seeking an experienced Hardware Inventory Coordinator. In this role, you will leverage your deep knowledge of office furniture hardware to manage the vital flow of components, ensuring our craftsmen have the exact parts required to create flawless pieces. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the receiving, stocking, and organization of all office furniture hardware components in the stockroom.
  • Fulfill internal parts requests by accurately pulling, preparing, and distributing hardware to the production team to meet manufacturing schedules.
  • Verify the accuracy of hardware specifications on production work orders and Bills of Materials (BOM) to prevent errors and delays.
  • Monitor inventory levels, perform regular cycle counts, and maintain precise records in the inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with the purchasing department to place purchase orders to ensure a timely supply of materials, preventing stock shortages.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for hardware, collaborating with production, design and purchasing teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Previous experience within office furniture manufacturing and/or inventory coordination,
  • Energetic and enthusiastic attitude, thriving in a collaborative team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Works with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Communicates effectively in English, both in writing and verbally.
