Nidus is building autonomous manufacturing systems powered by AI and robotics. U.S. manufacturing faces a structural challenge: a shrinking skilled workforce, underutilized equipment, and supply chains that can't keep pace with demand. The answer isn't more people — it's smarter systems. Nidus is building the intelligence layer that lets machines run autonomously, so manufacturers can scale production without scaling headcount.
The team comes from the intersection of defense technology and AI, with experience shipping products to DoD customers across ML, robotics, product development, and defense. This is a small, in-person team in New York City working on hard problems that matter.
The Opportunity
Nidus is looking for a Hardware Engineer to drive the integration of robots with industrial manufacturing equipment from the mechanical and electrical side. This is a role for someone who is scrappy, moves quickly, iterates rapidly, and keeps long-term design goals in mind while doing it.
You will own the full assembly — electronics, sensors, and mechanical components — and support deployments to customer facilities through installation and commissioning. If you want to build the hardware layer of the future of American manufacturing, this is that role.
