About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardlines Supervisor who has furniture industry experience with holding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field to oversee all testing activities in our Hardlines Laboratory

The successful candidate will lead a team of technicians, ensure smooth and efficient laboratory operations, and assist in developing new testing methods and standards. This role includes a few months of training in Vietnam to gain hands-on experience and exposure to international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise all sample handling and testing activities performed by laboratory staff.
  • Train new technicians on testing standards and laboratory procedures.
  • Communicate updates on testing methods and standards to the team.
  • Advise CS/Sales departments and customers on testing standards and methods.
  • Review and verify test reports before submission to clients.
  • Support management in preparing documentation and training staff for VILAS recognition.
  • Manage team operations, including staffing arrangements, work allocation, and personnel compliance with labor regulations.
  • Organize activities to boost team morale and performance.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations for direct subordinates (N-1 level).

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree or higher in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a testing laboratory or furniture manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of consumer product testing standards and procedures.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin would be an added advantage, as the role requires communication with factories

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and task management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and computer applications.
  • Good English comprehension.
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve operational issues effectively.
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing team activities.
