Job Description

The Harbor Maintenance Worker is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe atmosphere of the dock for guests and employees by performing maintenance and welding duties.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify and perform repairs and maintenance on boats, buildings, and docks

• Troubleshoot repairs of major plumbing components

• Perform welding repairs and construction assistance if needed

• Be aware of MSDS sheets books and be able to use this information when necessary

• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications

• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

• Boat Operation and ability to swim knowledge is required

• Previous irrigation work experience preferred

• Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester Certification and/or Irrigator’s License preferred

• Requires a valid Driver's License

• Must be able to withstand hot and humid conditions for entire shift and may encounter desert animals

• Follows prescribed safety requirements

• Must be willing to participate in the random drug/alcohol testing pool

• Experience preferred with: Hand Tools, Drills, Saws, Sanders/Grinders, Forklift, Crane/Winches, Ladder, Chase Boat, Hand Truck, ATV 4-Wheeler, Welding Machine, Other Machinery/Equipment

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
