We are looking for a practical, hands-on and reliable Handyperson to join our Maintenance team at Naumi Wellington on a part-time basis, working 20 hours per week.

This role is all about keeping our property looking great and running smoothly. With a strong focus on preventative maintenance, painting and general building upkeep, you'll play an important part in maintaining our hotel's unique character and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for our guests and team members.

What you'll be doing..

• Carrying out daily preventative maintenance and general property upkeep across the hotel.
• Undertaking painting, plastering, touch ups and minor repairs to maintain the presentation and condition of the building.
• Assisting with basic plumbing, electrical and general maintenance tasks within your skills and authorisations, and escalating specialist repairs where required.
• Maintaining outdoor areas, grounds and other shared spaces to a high standard.
• Supporting the Maintenance team in delivering planned preventative maintenance activities and addressing maintenance requests promptly.
• Identifying potential maintenance issues early and helping minimise disruptions to hotel operations and guest experiences.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and with attention to detail.

What we're looking for..

• Previous experience in a handyperson, property maintenance or similar hands-on role, ideally within hospitality or a commercial property environment.
• Practical skills in painting, plastering, general repairs and building maintenance.
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues before they become bigger problems.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks independently.
• A strong eye for detail and pride in keeping the property well presented.
• A positive, reliable and team oriented attitude
