About the Opportunity

As a Handyperson, you’ll play a key role in maintaining RACV property infrastructure acrossthe Torquay Resort, your focus will be on delivering timely, high-quality maintenance work, proactively identifying issues, supporting resort operations, and ensuring a safe and well-presented environment at all times.

What You’ll Do

  • Carry out general building, aquatics plant and equipment maintenance to keep our facilities safe, functional and guest-ready.
  • Identify and schedule maintenance requirements through regular property assessments.
  • Assist with preventative and periodic maintenance programs.
  • Maintain high standards of work area presentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Provide excellent service when working with internal teams to support guest and member needs.
  • Supervise contractors and contribute to strong supplier relationships.
  • Support process improvements, team collaboration and broader property initiatives.
  • Promote safe work practices and help with incident/accident investigations where required.

What You’ll Bring

Essential

  • Knowledge of facility, building and equipment maintenance.
  • General handyman skills across areas such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively.
  • Physically fit with a strong customer service ethic.
  • Current driver’s licence.

Desirable

  • Exposure to hotel or resort maintenance operations.
  • Restricted electrical licence or aquatics accreditation.
  • Experience using building management systems and property databases.
  • Computer literacy, ideally MS Office suite.
