About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Handyperson to join the Maintenance team at RACV Royal Pines Resort. This hands-on role has a primary focus of general painting, plastering and patching works, along with a variety of general maintenance, repair and preventative tasks, ensuring the resort is presented and operating to a high standard.

As a Handyperson, your key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high‑quality painting and plastering works across resort rooms, public areas and facilities, preparing surfaces including patching, plastering, sanding, sealing and priming
  • Applying paint, coatings and finishes to a high standard, including touch‑ups, repainting and refurbishment works to ensure consistent colour and quality presentation
  • Carry out other general maintenance of resort fittings and fixtures, carpentry, minor electrical and plumbing and cleaning duties
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff
  • Conducting routine inspections of hotel facilities and identifying maintenance needs
  • Maintain tools, equipment, workshop, plant rooms and storerooms in a clean and safe work environment

Availability to work Monday to Friday, 7am–3pm, with flexibility to cover 7am–3pm or 2pm–10pm shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Previous experience delivering painting and surface preparation works within a hotel, resort or similar commercial environment
  • Handyperson capability with a focus on painting and finishing, supported by skills in carpentry and minor electrical and plumbing tasks
  • Knowledge of facility, building and equipment maintenance
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Competent computer systems skills incl Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Effective time management, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform physical and manual handling duties, work well in a team environment, with contractors or independently
  • Excellent personal presentation
