Job Description

Do you enjoy working with your hands and learning new skills in carpentry and general maintenance? Looking to grow your experience in a supportive team environment? Richdale Apartments is hiring a motivated Entry-Level Carpenter / Handyman to join our Maintenance and Renovation team at our Class A communities in Minneapolis.

This role is ideal for someone with basic carpentry or handyman experience who wants steady, full-time work and the opportunity to build their skills alongside experienced tradespeople.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general maintenance and light carpentry support across four Minneapolis properties
  • Perform basic interior repairs including drywall patching, painting, minor flooring repairs, and simple framing work

  • Assist with installation and replacement of fixtures such as mirrors, countertops, cabinets, and hardware

  • Install and repair doors, locks, blinds, closet doors, and basic window components

  • Safely use hand and power tools

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

  • Respond to maintenance requests in a professional and timely manner

Schedule

Monday–Friday9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in carpentry, construction, apartment maintenance, or handyman work preferred

  • Apprentice-level candidates encouraged to apply

  • Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team

  • Good communication skills when interacting with residents and staff

  • Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
