JOB SUMMARY

To safely and efficiently carry out driving and equipment-operating duties for the hotel and support the Maintenance and Garden teams with general work whenever driving or equipment-operating duties are not required. The position will be responsible for operating company vehicles, bulldozers, tractors, and other assigned equipment, as well as assisting with masonry, painting, general maintenance, landscaping, material movement, and other operational activities as assigned by the supervisor.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Experience: Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
• 3 years hotel engineering work experience.

Key Skills :

• Safe driving and vehicle handling.
• Bulldozer operation.

• Basic masonry and plastering.
• Painting and surface preparation
• General handyman skills.
• Basic building maintenance.

Education or Certification

• Minimum Technical, Trade or Vocational Certificate/Diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications and Experience

• Valid UAE driving license suitable for the assigned vehicle.
• Valid/appropriate authorization or certification for operating heavy equipment, where required.
• Previous experience operating tractors and bulldozers is preferred.
• Previous experience as a driver, handyman, maintenance person, equipment operator, or similar position.
• Basic knowledge of masonry, painting, general repairs, and landscaping work.
• Ability to use basic hand tools safely.
• Good knowledge of road and workplace safety.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors and perform manual work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Driving Duties

• Safely operate company vehicles as required for hotel operations.
• Transport maintenance materials, tools, equipment, plants, soil, waste, and other items between locations.
• Support Engineering, Garden, Housekeeping, and other departments with transportation requirements.
• Collect and deliver materials, spare parts, and other operational items.
• Carry out daily vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
• Keep assigned vehicles clean and in good working condition.
• Follow all UAE traffic regulations and hotel vehicle safety procedures.
• Report vehicle accidents, damages, or mechanical problems immediately to the supervisor.

Bulldozer Operation

• Safely operate the bulldozer for approved hotel and site activities.
• Carry out basic earthmoving, leveling, grading, spreading, and site preparation work as required.
• Assist with clearing soil, sand, debris, branches, and other materials from designated areas.
• Support site preparation and landscaping activities.
• Assist with road, pathway, campsite, and outdoor-area maintenance when required.
• Perform daily pre-operation checks and report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Ensure the bulldozer is operated only in designated and approved areas.
• Follow all equipment safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Never operate the equipment in an unsafe condition or without proper authorization.

Tractor Operation

• Safely operate the tractor for approved hotel, Garden, and site activities.
• Transport soil, plants, garden waste, tools, and other materials using the tractor and approved attachments/trailer.
• Assist the Garden team with landscaping and site preparation activities.
• Assist with collection and removal of garden waste and other materials.
• Support outdoor cleaning, leveling, and general site-maintenance activities.
• Carry out daily inspection of the tractor and attachments before use.
• Report any defects, unusual noise, leakage, or mechanical problems immediately.
• Operate the tractor and attachments safely and only for their intended purpose.

Maintenance Duties When Driving/Equipment Operation Is Not Required

• Assist the Maintenance team with general building maintenance activities.
• Carry out basic masonry work, including patching, plastering, grouting, minor blockwork, and repair of damaged surfaces.
• Assist with painting work, including surface preparation, filling, sanding, touch-up painting, and repainting.
• Assist maintenance technicians with general repair and maintenance activities.
• Assist with basic carpentry, furniture repairs, fixing, and other handyman work when required.
• Assist with moving, handling, and organizing maintenance materials and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping in maintenance work areas.

Garden Team Support

• Assist the Garden team whenever driving, tractor, bulldozer, or maintenance duties are not required.
• Assist with planting, soil preparation, pruning, removal of dry leaves, branches, and garden waste.
• Help with moving plants, soil, tools, and gardening materials.
• Assist with irrigation-related work under the direction of the Garden team.
• Support general landscaping and outdoor-area maintenance.
• Assist with cleaning and maintaining garden and outdoor areas.

Equipment Care and Safety

• Conduct daily pre-start inspections of vehicles, tractors, bulldozers, and assigned equipment.
• Check basic items such as oil, coolant, fuel, tires/tracks, hydraulic systems, lights, brakes, and other safety components as applicable.
• Report equipment defects or maintenance requirements immediately.
• Keep equipment clean and properly parked after use.
• Follow manufacturer's operating procedures and hotel safety requirements.
• Use appropriate PPE when operating heavy equipment or performing maintenance, masonry, painting, and gardening work.
• Ensure the work area is safe before operating heavy equipment.
• Never allow unauthorized persons to operate assigned equipment.
• Follow all applicable site safety procedures and instructions from supervisors.
• Ability to work flexibly according to operational requirements.
