Looking for a stable, hands-on role close to home? ISS is seeking a reliable Maintenance Officer / Handyman to support day‑to‑day operations at Blayney If you enjoy practical work, solving problems, and being the person people rely on, this role is for you.
Local, steady work in the Blayney region
Variety every day—repairs, inspections, contractor coordination, safety tasks
Step-up responsibility as the site’s 2IC when the Facility Manager is away
Work with a global FM leader while staying rooted in your community
You’ll help keep the site safe, functional and running smoothly through:
General repairs & preventative maintenance across fixtures, fittings, building services and equipment
Waste management and internal/external clean-ups
Contractor engagement & supervision, ensuring compliance with SWMS, permits and site safety
2IC duties including toolbox talks, safety walks, stock takes, equipment audits and supporting the cleaning team
Responding to client requests, logging work orders and maintaining accurate documentation
Identifying faults, reporting issues and suggesting improvements to enhance efficiency and safety
Experience in maintenance, grounds maintenance or handyman work
Ability to work unsupervised, prioritise tasks and meet short deadlines
Strong commitment to safe work practices, hazard identification, JSA/SWMS
Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
Confidence in identifying maintenance needs and sourcing materials
Current Class C Driver’s Licence
Bonus skills: Trade qualification, forklift licence, WHS certification, manual handling
